This is what the door, once opened, looks like on the Renault Avantime. A nice way to make sure you’ll be able to climb in it, while parallel parked, even with those long ass doors.

Its like they had a fridge full of small tupperware cups with left over design quirks, and they made a quirk casserole that works quite well.
